Flemington, NJ, October 19, 2010 – The Forsgate Foundation along with Forsgate Country Club hosted its 2010 Charity Golf Classic on September 28, 2010 at Forsgate Country Club. Special celebrity guests included Annika Sorenstam, one of the most successful golfers in history with 72 LPGA Tour victories, and J.B. Holmes, two-time PGA Tour winner of the FBR Open (in the last three years), and a 2008 Ryder Cup winner. eGolfScore has provided real-time scoring at this event for the past several years.
Since 2003, The Forsgate Foundation Charity Classic has raised over $200,000 for worthwhile causes. This year, the primary beneficiary of the event will be The ANNIKA Foundation, a not-for-profit organization founded by Sorenstam in 2007, one year prior to her retirement from competitive play. The ANNIKA Foundation teaches children the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition and offers aspiring junior golfers opportunities to pursue their dreams. The Forsgate Foundation will also support local New Jersey children’s charities with any further proceeds from the event.
