Third Asian Tour win for the Irishman
CHICAGO, Oct. 18, 2010 – Wilson Staff Advisory Member Padraig Harrington earned a three-shot victory to capture the Asian Tour’s Iskandar Johor Open at Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club in JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia. The win comes on the heels of Paddy’s two-point contribution as a member of Team Europe in the 2010 Ryder Cup.
Harrington, who earned his first win since the 2008 PGA Championship, took a five-stroke lead into the final round of the event and tightened his grip with three straight birdies beginning at No. 2. It was the Irishman’s third Asian Tour title after wins at the 2003 BMW Asian Open and the 2004 Omega Hong Kong Open.
In his winning bag, Harrington carried the FG Tour irons (5-PW), new DXi 19 and 22-degree hybrids, Wilson Staff 5-wood, and the new 54 and 60-degree FG Tour wedges.
