PGA Tour Frys.com Open and Nationwide Tour Miccosukee Winners Play FOURTEEN GOLF
IRVINE, CA – October 21, 2010 – FOURTEEN GOLF, recognized as a worldwide leader in wedge design and a known favorite amongst top touring golf professionals, announced today that the company has enjoyed five professionals victories in the past two weeks.
Last week FOURTEEN GOLF was credited with three titles; the PGA Mc Gladrey Classic, the Navistar LPGA Classic, and the Hi-Mart KLPGA. This week on the PGA Tour, a fan favorite and crowd pleaser played a FOURTEEN GOLF fairway wood to win the Frys.com Open. This important victory was his first since 2002 and secured his playing privileges for the next two years.
According to FOURTEEN GOLF COO Marcy Kamoda, “Another great weekend! These two victories take our win total to 19. That is almost twice as much as last season. The Frys.com Open victory was crucial for the 36 year old PGA Touring Professional but the Miccosukee Championship was also an important win. This 7th career title places this talented golfer into the record books as the Nationwide Tour’s all-time win leader. It also escalates him into the top 40 on the money list – the top 25 earn their PGA Tour card.
“According to the Darrell Survey, these two champions played FOURTEEN GOLF fairway woods. This is interesting. Typically, our victories have been credited to the new MT-28 V5 Wedge but it proves that all FOURTEEN GOLF products are designed for high performance including our hybrid irons. The runner up at the Miccosukee Championship played our Hi Type #3 iron, giving the company another Top-10 finish.”
