Sanford, FL – RIFE Putters would like to congratulate the winner of the Champions Tour’s AT&T Championship held at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, TX this past weekend.
The winner used a RIFE Two Bar Mallet putter to capture victory in the first hole of a sudden death playoff and earn a check for $262,000.00. The 55 year old Canadian was a Monday qualifier and this was his first Champions Tour victory ever. A final round 67 putt him in a two-way playoff and it only took one tee shot, a superb chip, and one putt on the Par 3 18th Hole to win his first tournament.
“We’ve had so many victories and Top 10 Finishes on the Champions Tour over the past 5 years,” said Larry Watson, Director of Tour Operations for RIFE Putters, “and they’ve all been great. But this one will definitely stand out. A Monday Qualifier wins on the 1st Hole of a sudden death playoff and captures his first ever Champions Tour Victory. What a great story. We’re just proud to be a part of it.”
This marks the 13th Tour win of the 2010 season for RIFE Putters, and their 43rd victory overall, dating back to 2008. RIFE has captured wins on every major circuit worldwide, making RIFE Putters one of the greatest stories in the history of the golf business.
About RIFE Putters
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove™ faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
