Offers moms of student golfers opportunities to get in the game
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, November 10, 2010 – The EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) and TGA-Premier Junior Golf have formed a strategic alliance to bring golf to women who have not had the opportunity to learn and play the game.
TGA-Premier Junior Golf provides America’s youth with access to golf through after-school education programs for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Through this alliance, EWGA will reach out to the mothers of these children, offering a supportive adult golf group similar to what their children are experiencing.
“Mothers with children in TGA-Premier Junior Golf programs are seeing firsthand the many benefits that golf can offer to learn and grow,” says Pam Swensen, CEO of the EWGA. “For nearly 20 years, EWGA has helped women learn, play and enjoy golf. It’s a natural alliance to reach out to these moms to get them into the game.”
“In many of our territories, mothers of students are approaching us to learn the game of golf because their child participates in a TGA program,” said TGA President and CEO, Joshua Jacobs. “This new partnership with the EWGA will create opportunities for moms of TGA students to learn and enjoy the game of golf as well as help to grow a very important segment of golf.”
