Celebrity entertainment adds excitement to outdoor golf festivals in Orlando, Tampa and The Villages
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 11, 2010) – Golfweek’s Golfest – the nation’s largest outdoor golf lifestyle extravaganza and demo day – will kick off its upcoming 2011 event series by returning to Florida for its eighth consecutive year. Golfweek’s Golfest 2011 will not only feature a variety of golf-centric activities for the whole family, but also appearances by world-renowned golf instructor David Leadbetter and LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam on the Main Stage.
Furthering the excitement of the 2011 series, Golfweek’s Golfest continues to expand its event schedule with the addition of a new stop at Tampa Bay Downs Golf Facility in Tampa (Feb. 19-20). This latest festival addition rounds out Golfest’s trio of popular events – which also includes stops at ChampionsGate Golf Club in Orlando (Jan. 22-23) and The Polo Fields at The Villages (Mar. 4-5) – on the Florida leg of the tour.
“We are excited to expand the reach of Golfweek’s Golfest with the addition of a Tampa event,” said Armand Cimaroli, director of events. “And with both David and Annika joining this year’s lineup, the 2011 series is sure to deliver unforgettable golf experiences to serious golfers across the state of Florida.”
Presented by Winn Grips, Golfweek’s Golfest allows attendees to try and buy golf’s latest and greatest equipment, apparel and accessories while also enjoying golf trick-shot artists, long-drive exhibitions, golf clinics, prize drawings, contests, food, games and fun for the entire family.
