(BLAKESLEE, PA) – Jack Frost National Golf Club – managed by Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – has been selected as one of the “Best New Courses” by Golfweek in the magazine’s October 29 issue.
Jack Frost National is the only course in Pennsylvania recognized on Golfweek’s list of top 40 new courses to open in the United States the past two years.
One of the nation’s most widely circulated golf magazines, Golfweek publishes its annual list based on a team of 625 raters assessing courses’ overall strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and remarkable nature of holes, conditioning and maintenance, landscape management and other criteria.
“We’re incredibly proud and humbled by this honor,” says Jason Lenhart, General Manager of Jack Frost National. “Jack Frost National has quickly become a favorite among locals and areas visitors for the same reasons Golfweek rating the course so highly.”
The expansive 18-hole, par-72, 7,256-yard course, designed by Terry LaGree, unfolds over 200 acres. Located on the peak of Jack Frost Mountain at 2,000 feet, the layout wends through magnificent terrain encompassed by a natural oak forest. Atypical of most mountain courses, Jack Frost features wide fairways, easily-identified target areas, few uneven lies and no blind shots.
The complete practice area includes a two-tier driving range, chipping green with bunkers, a two- tee short-game area, and putting green.
