Marlborough, MA – Unless you have watched or attended one of the Long Drive Events, it is hard to believe when you hear just how far the players hit the golf ball. Contestants are hitting drives that would make a normal par four seem like Mini Golf. This year at the 2010 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship, Joe Miller, from London, England, went from the “Last Chance” bracket in five rounds to finishing in first hitting a 414 yard drive to win the $150,000 purse.
Few would challenge that in this type of competition the equipment is chosen for it’s technological advancements.
