(CARMEL, CA, November 10, 2010) The Shivas Irons Society today announced that its 2010 fundraising auction is online and active. Each year this auction features opportunities to play golf at several of the world’s most celebrated courses including a number of US Open and other amateur and professional major championship venues. Available too are an eclectic array of items including golf art, golf photography, rare and collectible books, and getaway vacations at major resorts.
This year’s featured items include a two-night getaway at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, a leather handcrafted limited edition MacKenzie Walker golf bag, a private golf lesson with Golf Magazine “Top 100” instructor Laird Small, a seven-night getaway for a family or two couples at a luxurious private condo at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, CO., and much, much more.
The Shivas Irons Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with members throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Its mission is to provide opportunities for community, discovery and transformation through golf. Membership is open to all, but you must be a member or recommended by a member to fully participate in this private auction. Proceeds will benefit the Society’s activities including the Youth Scholarship Fund. The amount of a winning bids in excess of the “fair market value” of an auction item is tax-deductible (US Only).
