‘Hottest shafts in golf’ dominates woods, hybrids shaft manufacturer counts on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Relying on the lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness of Aldila’s RIP Technology™ the winners of the Australian Masters and the Children’s Miracle Network Classic were both able to orchestrate come-from-behind wins in both of their respective tournaments Sunday.
Using Aldila’s RIP in his woods and hybrids, the winner of the Australian Masters champion rallied from a seven-shot deficit to post his second win of the season. He finished with a 10-under 274 and earned a first-place check for a little more than $270,000. His previous victory this season was a record-setting win at the Greenbrier Classic. With the help of the RIP in his driver and 3 wood, he became the fifth person in Tour history to record a 59. He made nine birdies and an eagle in the final round en route to a one-stroke victory.
On the PGA Tour, with the help of Aldila’s RIP, the winner of the Children’s Miracle Network Classic came from five strokes back to win by three and finish with a 21-under-par 267. He collected a first place check of $846,000 and a two-year Tour exemption for finishing in the Top 125.
“Aldila’s RIP Technology™ continues to prove itself on Tour week after week, city after city, and country after country,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The RIP™ employs patent-pending technology and exclusive materials to completely transform shaft design from the inside out. Also on the PGA Tour, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” once again dominated the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts, according to the Darrell Survey. At the Children’s Miracle Network Classic Aldila had 38 more wood shafts and 16 more hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor.
