FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., November 15, 2010…Edwin Watts Golf Shops, LLC, (EWGS) one of the world’s largest specialty golf retailers, hosted nearly 1,000 Orlando-area consumers on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 at the Edwin Watts Golf Superstore on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando, during the Company’s 2010 Expo.
The two-day Expo, which was free and open to the public, gave golfing consumers a sneak peak and demo of new and not yet released golf clubs, apparel and other equipment and accessories for 2011, as well as a chance to tune-up their game with club fitting, short game clinics, cleat changing and customized swing analysis. Most attendees took advantage of the par 3 challenge and putting contests, and many walked away with valuable prizes, including products from the top brands in golf such as Mizuno, TaylorMade, Nike and ADAMS GOLF, as well as free rounds of golf at premier Orlando-area courses, including Falcon’s Fire, Grande Pines, Grande Vista, Southern Dunes, Grand Cypress and the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. PGA TOUR Star Justin Rose kicked off the Expo with a special appearance and autograph signing on Friday morning, sponsored by TaylorMade. Golfers also received custom fitting at the Cleveland/Srixon Tour van, and participated in a par 3 challenge at the Kodak/Online Skills Coach Mobile Performance Center, which included golf swing analysis, enabling all participants to go home with a free “action print” of their golf swing as a souvenir.
