SAN DIEGO, CA. – Heritage Golf Group signed a short term monitoring and consulting agreement with Textron Financial Corporation to provide oversight of the operations at Firethorne Country Club in North Carolina.
Heritage Golf Group has been expanding its business model to offer golf management and consulting services to owners. Firethorne Country Club will be Heritage Golf Group’s fourth management business relationship in the past eleven months.
“In the last few years, we’ve been involved with many consulting and management relationships. Some of which are long term, such as The Amelia Island Club, and others that are short term,” said Andy Crosson, Executive Vice President of Heritage Golf Group. “In any consulting or management role, our goal is to stabilize operations and increase revenue.”
Firethorne Country Club, located just southeast of Charlotte, in Marvin, North Carolina, is an 18-hole championship golf course that boasts natural rock wall and ponds against a forest backdrop. From the longest tees, the course features 6,904 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed by Tom Jackson and opened in 1998.
Firethorne Country Club has a 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with meeting rooms, banquet rooms, and fine dining. The swim and tennis complex offers 10 courts for tennis enthusiasts and a water park consisting of four pools and a slide.
The Club has hosted numerous golf events, including the Wachovia Championship Qualifier from 2003-2006.
