Maumee, Ohio – aboutGolf, a 20-year-old Ohio-based company and leader in indoor golf simulator and golf performance technology, announced today a new distribution partnership with Golf Master, Ltd in Russia.
Sisters and professional golfers, Anastasia and Maria Kostina, discovered that the aboutGolf simulator is an invaluable tool for working on their own golf games and, as a result, wanted to bring the same opportunity for improvement to their fellow Russian golfers through their business venture, Golf Master, Ltd and a partnership with aboutGolf.
“The aboutGolf simulator is the most accurate we have ever seen,” says Anastasia Kostina. “We understand what that level of accuracy can do for the game of golf in Russia and we got involved to be part of that progression of the game.”
The Kostina sisters played on the Washington State University golf team and have competed in the professional arena as well. Maria became the first Russian player to qualify for a major championship – the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles. In the same year, Anastasia became the first Russian to compete in the final stage of the LPGA Q-School.
They know of the difficulties that face golfers in Russia, particularly in and around Moscow, where the golf season lasts only about half a year. The Kostina sisters believe Russian golfers are looking for this type of golf solution – a high-end simulator that gives them more access to the game.
As an aboutGolf distributor, Golf Master, Ltd has installed an aboutGolf Simulator in a new, state-of-the-art indoor golf facility in Lotto-Plaza, an upscale shopping center in Moscow that caters to the most affluent Russians.
