March Event Showcases Myrtle Beach’s The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard Courses
(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – Mystical Golf, owner and operator of the award-winning The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard golf courses in Myrtle Beach, announces the Mystical Golf National Pro-Am will be played over its acclaimed trio of layouts on March 13-16.
Garnering ratings from 4 to 4-1/2 stars by Golf Digest and named “The Best Value in America” by GOLF Magazine, tournament players will discover three distinct playing experiences and pristine conditioning. The Mystical Golf National Pro-Am is comprised of both a professional and amateur competition. The team scoring format is two best-ball gross and net combined. The full field purse is over $23,000. Event highlights include:
• One tournament round each on The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard
• Four nights oceanfront accommodations at Baywatch Resort

“The Mystical Golf National Pro-Am promises to be one of the fun and exciting events on the 2011 Myrtle Beach tournament calendar,” says Claude Pardue, President and CEO of Mystical Golf. “Golfers will enjoy our warm spring weather, comfortable beachfront accommodations and three championship courses testing golfers of any and all abilities.”
The all-inclusive registration and entry fee is $986 (double occupancy). Professional participants are free. The field is limited to 62 paid teams (248 players). A practice round is available on Sunday afternoon, March 13, for cart fee only ($23).
The Witch sits on 500 acres of tranquil cypress groves and wetlands teeming with flora and fauna. Tactical play is rewarded on the par-71, 6,702-yard layout. With 4,000 feet of bridges wending through swamps (front nine) and rolling hills (back nine), golfers may spy cranes, bald eagles, alligators and black bears.
Man-O-War is revered for its back-to-back island greens and water features touching every hole. With a commanding 141 slope rating, the par-72, 6,967-yard layout is offset by straight-forward shots and excellent, bent-grass greens.
Reminiscent of classic, wind-swept links courses in Scotland and Ireland, The Wizard presents deep bunkers, mound-framed fairways and dramatic elevation changes. Trademark stone bridges and an Old-World, castle-style clubhouse add character to the par-72, 6,721-yard shot-maker’s course.

The Witch, Man-O-War and The Wizard are in the heart of Myrtle Beach and within 15 minutes of Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), beaches, accommodations, restaurants and other attractions.
