TORONTO- Second Skin Garment Company, parent company of the Second Skin and Hollas brands of golf apparel, will be exhibiting at the PGA Merchandise Show (Booth #5157) for the first time in several years. The company, whose brands are prominent throughout Canada, is seeking to aggressively increase its presence in the U.S. market.
“The PGA Show is the leading gathering of the golf industry in the United States and it is imperative that we have a strong presence as we build our brands in this market,” said Don Nichols, founder of Hollas and managing partner of Second Skin Garment Company. “From a soft goods perspective, the PGA Show is very much a buying show. We look forward to further introducing our product lines to green grass shops and resorts.”
The Hollas brand is coming off of its most successful booking season in company history. With 11 sales representatives now in place in key U.S. territories, the brand has been placed in key accounts such as Bighorn Golf Club, The Madison Club, Bandon Dunes, Circling Raven, Whisper Rock and more.
“One of the best features of Hollas is the perfect amount of trendiness it offers without going overboard. It appeals to a large range of ages whether you’re 20 or 65. I have seen it happen many times,” said Linda Wilcox of Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif. “We’ve had great response because of the style, colors and fabrics. There isn’t another line that I would compare to Hollas. It really stands on it own. It was a huge success at Bighorn.”
At the show, Hollas will be showcasing five separate color groups. Its Urban (black/white), Oasis (sea blue/amber/mauve) and Island (plum/pink) collections of performance polo shirts, woven dress shirts, pants, shorts and performance outerwear will be available for at once Spring 2011 delivery. The Safari and Ocean lines will be booking for Summer/Fall 2011. In addition, Hollas will be showcasing its expanded collection of merino wool, denim and woven dress shirts for Fall.
