PLANO, TEXAS, December 9, 2010 – As the end of the year honors roll in across the golf industry, it is with great pride that Adams Golf (NasdaqCM:ADGF) congratulates staff members Yani Tseng and Bernhard Langer for both being named 2010 Players of the Year. Tseng captured the LPGA’s Rolex Player of the Year award and Langer was awarded the Champions Tour’s Jack Nicklaus trophy as the Player of the Year for the third consecutive year. Both players used Adams Golf’s aerodynamically-designed Speedline drivers in addition to our industry-leading Idea hybrids and irons all season long.
Tseng was awarded the Player of the Year honor after securing three LPGA victories in 2010, including triumphs at the Kraft Nabisco Championship and the RICOH Women’s British Open. Tseng is the first player from Taiwan to claim the Player of the Year trophy and also the second youngest to ever do so. Since joining the LPGA in 2008, Tseng has captured six career victories, including three major titles.
Along with claiming the 2010 Charles Schwab Cup, Langer posted five victories this year, including back-to-back major championships at the Senior British Open and the Senior U.S. Open. Langer also finished the season as the leading money winner, another feat that he accomplished for the third year in a row. Since joining the Champions Tour in 2007, Langer has captured 13 career victories.
Throughout the 2010 season, Tseng played the Adams Golf Speedline 9032LS driver (9.5 degree), a Speedline fairway wood (3), two Idea a7 hybrids (19 and 22 degrees) and Idea Tech a4 irons (4-PW). Langer carried the Speedline driver (9.5 degree), an Insight fairway wood (3), an Idea Pro hybrid (18 degree) and Idea Pro Black irons (6-PW).
