Multiple new fashion platforms are being employed by apparel vendors to capture the attention of influential buyers throughout Show Week.
On Wednesday night, the eve of the PGA Merchandise Show, apparel vendor partners of the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) are participating in the 4th Annual AGM Product Preview & Buyers’ Reception at the Orange County Convention Center.
When the Show doors open on Thursday, Jan. 27, buyers will find an all-new Fashion Gallery anchoring the apparel exhibit hall. The new Fashion Gallery offers a main stage for exhibitor fashion shows, designer panels, celebrity appearances, merchandising seminars and more to fill each Show day schedule through Saturday, Jan. 29. Fashion reporters Annmarie Dodd (fashion writer, consultant and Kahki Crusader contributor), Sean Hotchkiss (founder of Khaki Crusader) and Argy Koutsothanasis (Fitness Magazine Fashion Director) will emcee several of the stage programs and offer daily presentations on the latest trends, performance fabrics and mainstream styles influencing golf fashion retail. Adjacent to the Fashion Gallery stage is the new Apparel/Accessories New Product Center where buyers will find a collection of the newest merchandise in one setting. Also, many apparel vendors will host special events and programs in their booths during and after Show hours.
“Having kept a watchful eye on fairway styles for more than a decade, I am especially excited to hear about the introduction plans from some of the best and most established brands in golf fashion,” said Dodd, Fashion Gallery stage host and veteran golf fashion journalist. “The 2011 PGA Merchandise Show not only includes a deep representation of the golf apparel market, but it is offering many new ways for vendors to stand out among influential buyers.”
