McHenry, Illinois (December 15, 2010) The Municipal Golf Course located in Griffin, Georgia selects Crescent’s System 6 as their club software solution. The course, owned and operated by the City of Griffin, will utilize Crescent’s Point of Sale, Tee Sheet and Internet Mailer Programs, as well as Integrated Credit Card Processing in a virtual network environment.
The City of Griffin Municipal Golf Course opened to public play in 1932. Since its founding, the course has provided affordable recreation in a beautiful, relaxed setting to the citizens of Griffin and surrounding Spalding County.
Rolling fairways and manicured greens highlight this 18-hole, par 72 course located in the heart of the city. Eighty electric golf carts and numerous water stations located around the course provide comfort and convenience for golfers. In addition to offering memberships, the golf course offers a driving range, practice green and caters to special tournaments for companies and groups.
The City of Griffin chose Crescent System 6 primarily because of its simplicity, easy-to-use interface, complete business functionality and ability to natively fit within the City’s virtual network infrastructure without any modifications. The course will utilize the System 6 modules on-site while the data will reside at the City of Griffin IT complex in downtown Griffin. The City will realize substantial annual cost savings with this network deployment, and will increase data and system security significantly.
