Thunder Valley Casino Resort- Site of Golf Industry Merchandise Show
Sacramento, Calif. – The Northern California Golf Representatives Association (NCGRA) is pleased to announce Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, CA (just east of Sacramento) is the new venue for the 2011 Nor Cal Golf Rep’s Merchandise Show slated for Monday Feb. 28 and Tuesday March 1.
Now celebrating its 30th year, this golf industry trade show will attract numerous PGA club professionals, golf shop merchandisers and buyers, plus course owners and managers. According to NCGRA President Gary Renelt, a thorough site search was conducted and Thunder Valley Casino Resort was selected due to its central location plus on-site amenities including a new meeting center, hotel and spa.” Thunder Valley will be an ideal site for our association members to present their product lines… and it’s a great spot for golf pros and buyers to view the latest in apparel, equipment, and services,” stated Renelt. “Thunder Valley is also a perfect setting for industry professionals to gather and network while enjoying the resort and its amenities.”
Over the past 30 years, the two-day rep show has attracted vendors with a variety of hard and soft good lines. “The Nor Cal rep show is a must-attend for pros and buyers looking for the latest products and trends,” shared Brad Braden, a former PGA National Merchandiser of the Year. “And with Thunder Valley as the show venue, attendance will surely be on the rise… and that’s good for golf!”
In full support of the show, and in conjunction with the Association of Golf Merchandisers, the Northern California PGA Section will provide a series of mini-education sessions relating to merchandising and golf shop operations. Additionally, the NCPGA board of directors will meet on site and the California Alliance for Golf is also expected to gather at the show to discuss issues directly relating to golf in California. The Nor Cal Golf Representatives Association (NCGRA) is a not-for-profit organization consisting of dedicated sales representatives who provide quality products to golf facilities throughout Nor Cal and Northwestern Nevada. The NCGRA endorses the golf-related health education initiative Doctor’s Orders: Play Golf as well as Play Golf America, an initiative that introduces new players to the game. The NCGRA also supports the California Alliance for Golf (CAG) an organization which serves as “the united voice for golf” throughout California.
