Over 5 years of dedicated research and development have culminated in the release of a revolutionary golf swing training product, the iTrainer. The device is suitable for all levels of golfer, switchable between right and left handed operation and is completely software upgradeable.
Our unique user friendly iTrainer is a sophisticated, self-contained sensor assembly with an on-board computer and wireless interface. Weighing a bit more than 70g, iTrainer can be attached easily below the grip of any golf club. It determines the shaft orientation in real-time based on various sensor measurements. High resolution data can be uploaded wirelessly and/or stored to the internal memory card.
The unit interacts with the user via its internal speaker, or external Bluetooth Audio device via using spoken instructions in the user’s native tongue. The screen displays menu options and instructions. The display also displays results and progress. The user navigates through the menu via front panel buttons. The device plays an audio description of each menu item while navigating. The full swing analysis module displays a dashboard of swing statistics, while the Training modules use tones to guide you through different exercises.
We also offer iAcademy and iConsole besides iTrainer. iAcadamy is specifically designed for training academies servicing multiple students, as it maintains the student’s data and can interface with multiple devices. iConsole works directly with the iTrainer as a portable handset which wirelessly captures swing data and can replay it 3D on the iConsole screen.
We are currently working with a few organizations such as golf schools and PGAs to extend iTrainer and Insight’s technology further into professional or personal golf training. In the coming PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando 27-29 Jan 2011, we will exhibit iTrainer and related products including iAcademy, iConsole (software package for Android phones/tablets, and iPhone in future), iPutting as well as the Android software for smart phones and tablet computers.
