Elations “Rocks the Joint” concert open to all PGA Show attendees* on Friday, January 28, 2011
NORWALK, Conn. -Lou Gramm, the lead vocalist and co-writer of the multi-platinum band Foreigner, will be the featured entertainment in the annual “Elations Rocks the Joint” Concert at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show. The complimentary concert, sponsored by Elations supplement drink for healthier joints, is open to all registered PGA Merchandise Show attendees and will be held in the Chapin Auditorium of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Friday, January 28, 2011, at 6:30 p.m.
Gramm, the vocalist on 20 Top 40 singles, exploded onto the international music scene with Foreigner’s chart topper, “Feels Like The First Time,” in 1977.
“I was the lead vocalist for Foreigner for 26 years,” says Gramm. “I am enormously proud of this, and the music I have made with Foreigner is still a big part of my solo shows.” The impressive stats include eight Top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and five Top 5 albums on the Billboard Top Album chart in the U.S alone. Now, nearly three decades after the debut of Foreigner and chart-topping success as a solo artist, Gramm returns with a live show featuring 70 minutes of his own unique brand of Rock’n’Roll. The concert will include classics like “Hot Blooded” and “Juke Box Hero” in addition to Gramm’s massive solo hit “Midnight Blue.”
“Elations is all about maintaining healthy joints so you can continue to pursue your passions in life. We’re excited to bring another high-energy performance to the PGA Merchandise Show in our continued commitment to the sport of golf,” said Steve Tebeau, who’s spearheaded this effort for the Elations team. “After Dennis DeYoung of Styx and Kansas, Lou was a natural fit. We have developed a strong connection with the golf community and we’re thrilled about the response that we’ve received from enthusiasts and golf professionals alike. Simply put, Elations shares the common goal of playing golf longer, and joint comfort is an essential part of that.”
In addition to the “Elations Rocks the Joint” Concert featuring Lou Gramm of Foreigner at the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show, Elations will be registering members for a 12-week $25,000 grocery giveaway on the show floor (Booth #1107), January 27-29, and participating in the Outdoor Demo Day on January 26 at Orange County National Golf Center.
“We look forward to another exciting concert at the PGA Merchandise Show thanks to our good partners at Elations,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Senior Vice President Ed Several. “We have enjoyed playing a small part in building their business with golf industry partners at the PGA Shows. This year’s Lou Gramm concert is a wonderful way for Elations to entertain and strengthen relationships with PGA Professionals, golf retailers and industry executives who are traveling from all over the world to the PGA Merchandise Show.”
The concert is part of a comprehensive three-year marketing partnership agreement between PGA Golf Exhibitions and Elations, golf’s great-tasting drink supplement with glucosamine and chondroitin, contributing to healthier joints. Elations will sponsor an industry concert at the PGA Merchandise Show and an industry welcome reception at the PGA Fall Expo through 2012. Additionally, Elations will participate in each event’s exhibition, demonstration, tournament and presentation programs. The partnership also includes extensive marketing resources on site at each event and within PGA Golf Exhibitions publications, attendee communications and the events’ official web sites.

Elations’ new patent-pending formula still delivers the 1500mg glucosamine and 1200mg chondroitin that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found improved joint comfort among moderate to severe osteoarthritis sufferers.
