SAN DIEGO, CA. – Heritage Golf Group signed a management agreement with Textron Financial Corporation to provide oversight of the operations at Firethorne Country Club in North Carolina.
Firethorne Country Club represents Heritage Golf Group’s fourth management business relationship for 2010. Heritage Golf Group will continue to expand its business model to offer golf management and consulting services to owners.
“We have historically been very successful at improving operations and financial performance so that private investors or financial institutions can proceed with successful exit strategies,” said Andy Crosson, Executive Vice President of Heritage Golf Group.
Firethorne Country Club, located just southeast of Charlotte, in Marvin, North Carolina, is an 18-hole championship golf course that boasts natural rock walls and ponds against a forest backdrop. From the longest tees, the course features 6,904 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed by Tom Jackson and opened in 1998.
Firethorne Country Club has a 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with meeting rooms, banquet rooms, and fine dining. The swim and tennis complex offers 10 courts for tennis enthusiasts and a water park consisting of four pools and a slide.
The Club has hosted numerous golf events, including the Wachovia Championship Qualifier from 2003-2006.
