TEMPE, Ariz. (January 3, 2011) – DnA Golf, manufacturer of the only patented detachable-face driver, announced today a new licensing agreement with the University of Oregon, which allows DnA Golf to provide custom U of O team logos on its Alpha 610 Driver.
DnA Golf’s licensing agreement with the University of Oregon, the company’s first collegiate licensing partnership, will provide DnA Golf drivers with university specific logos that are placed on the crown of the driver for the standard model. Upgraded drivers can be purchased with the Oregon logo and school colors placed on the shaft, grip and headcover.
The University of Oregon can use DnA Golf’s customized “Oregon” driver for season ticket incentives, sponsor rewards and university-sponsored charity events, while also offering them for sale in school team shops and online stores.
“We are thrilled to have the University of Oregon as our first licensee on the collegiate level,” said Howard Lindsay, CEO of DnA Golf. “This couldn’t be a more exciting time for Oregon with their football team playing in the National Championship game, and we think this will be a great opportunity for Duck fans to show their school spirit with a customized DnA Golf driver.”
DnA Golf also will offer a limited edition 2011 National Championship version if the Ducks win the BCS title game on Jan. 10, 2011.
“College sports fans have really strong allegiances to their favorite schools, and they really like to show off their school colors and wear them proudly,” Howard said. “We are offering a unique way for fans to show their school pride on the golf course, while maintaining the performance they expect in their equipment.”
The Alpha 610 is a high-performance driver that features a patented detachable-face technology that is USGA and R&A approved for the standard face. Aftermarket faces and elastomeric face inserts will allow golfers to customize their driver for optimal distance based on their swing speed. Golfers also can select their desired acoustic levels based on their subjective preference. The DnA Alpha 610 driver features a level of customization never seen before – therefore each driver carries its own unique DNA.
DnA Golf has a unique distribution model, called DnA Direct, that offers anyone the opportunity to become an independent distributor of DnA Golf’s products. Independent distributors can purchase clubs at wholesale and sell at a profit; receive bonuses for signing new distributors and earn commissions from subordinate distributors in their own “DnA Chain”.
“The DnA Direct distribution model offers a great opportunity for anyone to earn money in the golf industry,” Lindsay said. “It is a model that is just getting started but we think the earning potential for independent distributors in the collegiate market is endless.”

DnA Golf, Inc. was formed in August 2009, but the concept for the first DnA Golf driver began in 2002 when BMW asked VyaTek Sports if they could develop a golf driver worthy of their “Ultimate Driving Machine” tagline. This effort culminated in the creation of a radical new driver that was highly tunable and had the look, feel, sound and performance of a well-made German car.
