Accolades Abound For PowerBilt’s Nitrogen-Charged Technology; Air Force One N7™ Irons Make Golf Digest “Hot List”; Driver Named “Product Of The Week” By Golfing Magazine

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. – Think Nitrogen-Charged Technology is a gimmick? Think again. The accolades are rolling in for PowerBilt’s Air Force One irons and driver. These are the only golf clubs on the market that infuse the clubhead with nitrogen gas to support the face. The result is the thinnest face in golf, creating a huge sweet spot for greater accuracy and distance.

IRONS ON HOT LIST: The Air Force One – Air Foil N7 irons have been named to Golf Digest’s 2011 “Hot List,” which is arguably the most prestigious rundown of golf clubs. Every year, Golf Digest, the industry’s most subscribed-to publication, thoroughly and objectively tests hundreds of products in an effort to provide consumers with an “inside guide to the best equipment.”

“This is the second year in a row we’ve made the list, and it’s truly a badge of honor,” says PowerBilt President Ross Kvinge. “Last year, our traditional Citation irons made the list. This year, it’s our hi-tech Air Force One irons. So we’re proving that PowerBilt is making outstanding products for all types of golfers.”

The Air Force One N7 irons made the “Hot List” in the Super Game-Improvement category which is for irons that are extremely forgiving with broad soles and low centers of gravity. “What separates our iron from the rest is nitrogen gas,” states Kvinge. “Because we are working with such a broad sole, we’re able to create a hollow iron filled with 50 psi of nitrogen gas. The nitrogen supports the face without bracing. Our own testing shows the vast majority of golfers hit the ball farther with Air Force One, which is why we can say PowerBilt has the longest irons in golf.”

Here’s what Golf Digest said about PowerBilt’s exclusive Nitrogen-Charged Technology:

“Whether the nitrogen gas has merit (our academics say it does) or is marketing hype is almost irrelevant. The feel of these irons is as sweet as hitting with one of those well-made wooden baseball bats from PowerBilt’s Louisville Slugger brand. In short, these clubs provide forgiveness where you need it and feel where you want it.”

“The academics are right,” says Kvinge. “It is game-changing technology. The only reason no one else is doing it is because we own all the patents.”

DRIVER NAMED PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: In early December, the PowerBilt Air Force One – Air Foil driver, which uses the same nitrogen technology, was named “Product of the Week” by Golfing Magazine. The Air Force One driver has consistently won praise from golfers and the golf media alike. The new Air Force One – Air Foil 2 driver and the Air Force One N7 irons are both available this spring.

PowerBilt is licensed in the U.S. by Plus One Sports, Inc. PowerBilt is a division of the Hillerich & Bradsby Co., a family-owned company which has been making golf clubs since 1916. Based in Louisville, Ky., H&B is also the maker of world-famous Louisville Slugger bats and Bionic gloves.
