The leader in golf equipment innovation earns 11 medals in driver, fairway, hybrid, iron, wedge and putter categories, plus “Editor’s Choice” selection for the new R11 driver
CARLSBAD, CALIF. (January 4, 2011) – TaylorMade Golf Company’s 2011 product line-up received glowing reviews in Golf Digest’s 2011 “Hot List” issue, available on newsstands today. Led by the new R11™ driver, TaylorMade earned a total of 11 medals – nine of which were gold – across all major club categories.
The “Hot List,” published annually since 2004, is recognized by the golf industry and golf enthusiasts alike as a leading independent guide to the best new introductions of golf clubs, is judged by a panel of scientists, retailers, teachers, amateur players and Golf Digest’s team of equipment editors.
TaylorMade’s revolutionary new R11, a completely adjustable driver featuring a white crown, was an “Editor’s Choice” selection – a distinguished honor given to only four products, in addition to earning a Gold rating.
TaylorMade’s second driver introduction of 2011, the all new Burner® SuperFast 2.0 driver, also received a Gold rating. At just 279 grams, the Burner SuperFast 2.0 is the lightest TaylorMade driver ever, and is up to five yards longer than the first generation SuperFast driver. TaylorMade is the only brand to have two drivers with Gold ratings on the 2011 “Hot List.”
Additional TaylorMade products that earned Gold ratings include the R11 and R11 TP fairway woods, Rescue™ 11 and Rescue 11 TP hybrids, Tour Preferred MC and Burner 2.0 irons, TP with xFT wedge, and Corza Ghost and Daytona Ghost putters.
“Its always rewarding when real golfers and industry experts react positively to our products,” said Bob Maggiore, TaylorMade’s vice president of brand and product marketing. “The excellent reviews that our newest products received in the Hot List, including the R11 driver, confirms that these clubs deliver on their promise of superior performance.”
