North Las Vegas, NV – Aliante Golf Club and OB Sports have launched “Family
Tees” and “Kids Play Free” programs to give families greater opportunities to use this popular North Las Vegas golf course. OB Sports is the management company that oversees operations of the City’s Aliante Golf Club.
“Family Tees” is designed to help juniors, new and beginning golfers to maximize their experience on the course. These tees provide a shorter layout and offer beginning golfers a routing option that plays to a par of 61 with a total yardage of just 2,633 (1490 yards on the front nine and 1143 on the back nine). Aliante still boasts regular tees that play the course as a par of 72 with yardages ranging from 5340 to 7022.
“Golf does not have bunny slopes like the ski industry does,” Phil Green, President of OB Sports Golf Management said. “So, I guess you could say this is our version of golf’s bunny slope. We are already seeing some new golfers and parents with their children spending quality time with each other on the golf course.”
The “Kids Play Free” program allows one child to play free with a paying adult every day after 1 p.m.
“Our ‘Family Tees’, combined with our “Kids Play Free” promotion make Aliante Golf Club more family friendly for area residents and visitors alike,” said Marc Orlowski, director of Golf Operations at Aliante Golf Club. “We are pleased to provide this option, which not only makes golf more affordable but also provides smoother entry into this great game.”
Aliante Golf Club was selected as the “Best New Course in Las Vegas” shortly after opening in 2003 by VegasGolfer magazine. This premier par-72, 18-hole championship golf course was designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Panks. The clubhouse includes a golf shop, grill with bar and event pavilion with views of the golf course and surrounding mountains. The practice facility features an expansive driving range, putting green, chipping green and practice bunker.
