Littleton to focus on the future of the game as a member of the communications committee
CHICAGO, Jan. 6, 2011 – GOLF 20/20, an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, has selected golf industry public relations professional Amy Littleton to join its communications committee.
As part of the committee, Littleton will be responsible for contributing ideas and insights to position golf as a valuable contributor to the economy, a conscientious steward of the environment and a positive force for human society. Ultimately, the committee’s objective is to grow the game of golf and insure its future vitality.
Littleton is vice president of KemperLesnik, a PR, events and sports marketing agency, ranked among the largest PR firms in the Chicago area. She leads KemperLesnik’s PR organization, which focuses on implementing strategic communications programs for clients in a variety of industries, including golf.
“We are happy to have Amy join our communications committee, where she will connect with some of the best PR, marketing and communication minds in the golf business,” says Cathy Harbin, Director, GOLF 20/20 of the World Golf Foundation. “We look forward to her thoughts and contributions.”
Littleton replaces Steven H. Lesnik, founder and chairman of KemperLesnik and KemperSports, who chose to step down from his role on the GOLF 20/20 communications committee in late 2010.
Littleton has more than 17 years experience in the communications industry. She joined KemperLesnik in 2003 after working in the agency business developing and implementing PR programs for business-to-business and consumer clients. Littleton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Marketing from The Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. She is currently president-elect of the Public Relations Society of America’s Chicago Chapter, and has received numerous awards for marketing and PR excellence.
