TEMPE, Ariz. (January 10, 2011) – DnA Golf, manufacturer of the only patented detachable face driver, announced today that it has expanded its product line and will introduce a second driver design at the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
DnA Golf’s latest addition to its line of drivers shares some heritage with its Alpha 610 Driver, but features a “welded face” as opposed to the “detachable face” of the Alpha 610.
“The welded face version of this new driver allows us to focus on the co-branded nature of the product,” CEO Howard Lindsay said. “This driver is aimed specifically at the promotional products industry, and puts us at a price point that is better suited to that market.”
The new welded face driver is similar to the Alpha 610 as it includes the patented feature that permits custom logos to be tastefully integrated into the crown of each club. The co-branded driver provides businesses a chance to increase brand awareness through brand loyalty programs, customer and employee rewards, promotional gifts and dealer incentives. This new design also will be well suited to DnA Golf’s licensees, such as the NBA and its most recent licensing partner, the University of Oregon.
Additional examples of logo categories include corporate logos, product logos, charities, the main branches of the military, other NCAA colleges and green-grass golf courses. Each custom logo also can be added to the shaft, grip and headcover for an additional charge.
With more than 30 percent of golf rounds played attributed to “business”, golf is an attractive area to build brand loyalty and awareness, which is what prompted DnA Golf to make a driver that focuses on the co-branding element.
“This is a great opportunity for businesses to promote their brand in a unique and more effective way,” Lindsay said. “Aside from being one of the more popular participant sports in the country, golf is a huge networking event as well. A driver with a company logo can seen by people for as long as 4-5 hours during a round of golf and can increase brand exposure exponentially…specifically to a target audience.”

About DnA Golf
Based in Tempe, Ariz., DnA Golf, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of VyaTek Sports (www.vyatek.com), a company that for more than 10-years has been designing high-end sports equipment for leading brands such as Wilson, Louisville Slugger and Rawlings.
DnA Golf, Inc. was formed in August 2009, but the concept for the first DnA Golf driver began in 2002 when BMW asked VyaTek Sports if they could develop a golf driver worthy of their “Ultimate Driving Machine” tagline. This effort culminated in the creation of a radical new driver that was highly tunable and had the look, feel, sound and performance of a well-made German car.
DnA Golf’s first product was its Alpha 610 driver, a high-performance driver that features a patented detachable-face technology that is USGA and R&A approved for the standard face. Aftermarket faces and elastomeric face inserts will allow golfers to customize their driver for optimal distance based on their swing speed. Golfers also can select their desired acoustic levels based on their subjective preference. The DnA Alpha 610 driver features a level of customization never seen before – therefore each driver carries its own unique DNA.
The company has a unique distribution strategy, partnering with corporate brands, sports teams, military branches/facilities, charities and green-grass golf facilities. With more than 30% of rounds played attributed to “business”, golf is an attractive area to build brand loyalty and awareness.
DnA Golf recently introduced its unique distribution model, DnA Direct, that offers anyone the opportunity to become an independent distributor of DnA Golf’s products. Independent distributors can purchase clubs at wholesale and sell at a profit; receive bonuses for signing new distributors and earn commissions from subordinate distributors in their own “DnA Chain”.
