CARLSBAD, CA – January 10, 2011 – SKLZ, the industry leader in sports skill development products and equipment, announced that it will be participating in the PGA Merchandise Show on January 27 – 29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The company will also be participating in the Demo Day on Wednesday, January 26 at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge.
The full line of SKLZ golf training aids will be displayed at the Equipment Test Center (ETC) in Hitting Bays #30 and #31 in the Orange County Convention Center and on the driving range at the Demo Day. Attendees will have the opportunity to try the latest training aids including the new Refiner® Pro Graphite hinged training driver, Quickster™ 8′ net, and the Gold Flex™ strength and tempo training aid.
During Demo Day, SKLZ will be hosting a “Hinged Club Challenge” from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at its location on the driving range. As part of the “Hinged Club Challenge” SKLZ will be inviting golfers to try other hinged training clubs, try drivers similar to their own, and try the new SKLZ Refiner Pro Graphite Driver. The goal is for golfers to determine which hinged training club feels more like the club they hit on the course. SKLZ is confident that the Refiner Pro Graphite will win this challenge hands down.
In addition to the “Hinged Club Challenge”, SKLZ also invites Demo Day participants to attend a SKLZ presentation on Integrated Golf Training Programs given by PGA Instructor, Rick Smith and Mark Verstegen of Athletes Performance. The presentation will take place at 10:00 am at the Demo Day main pavilion.
The new Refiner Pro Graphite Driver is the ONLY hinged training club with a graphite shaft. The graphite shaft more accurately provides the weighting and feel of a real driver, which allows the feel of the swing to translate into your own club perfectly. It features a patented, two-way adjustable hinged design that reinforces a proper swing plane and
steady tempo and gives instant feedback on timing and clubface position. Swinging too quickly or off-plane will cause the hinge to break.
The SKLZ 8-foot Quickster net is designed for full swing, pitching and chipping practice. One of the largest practice nets on the market, the Quickster is remarkably fast and easy to set up and take down. It can be assembled in less than two minutes and be taken down even faster. It includes a golf-specific full swing and chipping target that makes for great accuracy practice wherever and whenever you feel like swinging the club. When folded down, the lightweight net fits into a small, easy-to-carry bag, allowing for compact storage and easy transport.
The Gold Flex strength and tempo training aid is designed to improve your swing while providing a core muscle workout. With a large, round head and flexible extra-long shaft, the Gold Flex encourages a flatter swing plane and forces the downswing to be initiated by the lower body, both of which fight slices. It also acts as a fitness tool to strengthen and condition golf-specific muscles, increase flexibility and improve coordination. It can be carried in the bag during the round, making it the ideal warm-up device prior to your round.
