1) Deferred Capital Expenditures Template: click here. This Excel spreadsheet calculates the investment that should be in a sinking fund to ensure that proper course conditions are maintained.
2) Labor Hour Estimate Template: click here. This Excel spreadsheet details every task undertaken to maintain a golf course. By entering the weeks the course is open and the frequency various tasks are performed, an estimate of the annual hours required is determined.
These templates augment J. J. Keegan’s recently published book, The Business of Golf: What Are You Thinking? which is available at http://www.golfconvergence.com/textbook-on-the-business-of-golf. This textbook presents a clear path to guide golf course owners to create a successful vision, develop realistic tactical plans, and ensure precise operational execution. To learn more, click here.
