THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. – News about the annual PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando is often about who’s not exhibiting or who’s returning after an absence. PowerBilt, one of the most storied names in golf equipment, will be exhibiting this year – again.
PowerBilt is family owned by the Hillerich & Bradsby Co, which also owns Louisville Slugger, and has been making golf clubs since 1916 – the same year the PGA was founded.
“We share a rich heritage with the PGA,” says H&B CEO & President John Hillerich. “We’ve probably been more times than any other golf club company and we certainly understand the tradition and function of this show as much as anyone. We’re always proud to participate.”
At the show, PowerBilt will be unveiling its latest Air Force One models, the only clubs in golf that use nitrogen gas inside the head. The new Air Foil 2 woods and hybrids boast the thinnest face in golf while the Air Force One N7 irons have just been named to Golf Digest’s “Hot List.”
In addition PowerBilt will be introducing a new Citation iron – a traditional club that has been long-associated with greatness by winning numerous PGA Tour events. And for the beginning golfers, a new line of junior clubs will be showcased along with a $5 million scholarship program.
“We’ve got something that every green grass pro or off-course retailer can use,” says Ross Kvinge, the president of PowerBilt’s U.S. operations, which is licensed by Plus One Sports. “The quality throughout our line is unsurpassed and we offer generous margins, which makes PowerBilt a great partner.”
PowerBilt clubs will be showcased in booth 1021 at the Orange County Convention Center. PowerBilt will also be participating in the Demo Day at the Orange County National Golf Center.
