‘Hottest shafts in golf’ wins wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts
POWAY, Calif. – With the help of Aldila’s NV® shaft, the winner of the Sony Open notched his first victory in two years and qualified for his first Masters tournament in the process. He finished with a 16-under 264 (65-67-65-67) and played the last 40 holes without a bogey. Due to inclement weather the final 36 holes were played on Sunday.
The NV’s consistent taper and slim profile produces a shaft with consistent performance, flex and feel throughout the length of the shaft while eliminating the dull boardy feel of other shafts on the market.
“Aldila’s Micro Laminate Technology eliminates the destructive shock and vibration of impact while providing better control, enhanced power and more consistent performance when compared to steel shafts,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager.
The winner wasn’t the only one who benefited from Aldila’s cutting-edge technology; in fact each of the top five finishers at the Sony Open played Aldila shafts.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” also retained their status as the #1 Shaft on Tour by winning both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the Sony Open, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila had 21 more wood shafts in play than the next leading competitor. In 2010 “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” took over the #1 shaft status by winning the most wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts throughout the year. Aldila had more wood shafts in play on Tour and nearly two times as many hybrid shafts in play than any other graphite shaft manufacturer.
Aldila has the unique ability to fuse high-end design with cutting edge technology. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
