(SHENZHEN, China) – Mission Hills Group – impetus for China’s golf boom and owner and operator of the world’s two largest golf properties – welcomed world renowned trick-shot artist Jeremy Dale to perform exclusive demonstrations of his incredible skills on January 14 at Mission Hills Hainan, site of the 2010 Mission Hills Star Trophy, and at the Cindy Reid Driving Range at Mission Hills Dongguan on January 15.
From England, Dale is one of the world’s leading golf trick-shot masters. With the rare ability to hit equally well both left- and right-handed, his in-demand skills have thrilled and entertained audiences in more than 30 countries. He was runner-up in the 2005 World Golf Trick-Shot Championships.
Says Dale: “I’m excited about the opportunity to both visit and perform at Mission Hills. The tremendous growth of golf in Asia is phenomenal and it was an honor to demonstrate my repertoire of trick-shots in China. Mission Hills is a great place to demonstrate my skills.
“I am very impressed that so many guests came today to watch my show. I think golf is booming here,” he says.
Dale’s repertoire includes some of the following amazing stunts:
• Happy Gilmore: he runs up to hit the ball, named after the film
• Edward Scissorhands: using two clubs at once, also named after the film
• High tee: ball teed up to 2 metres high
• Drop volley: ball is thrown up in the air and then hit after it bounces
• Tiger Woods juggling trick: as made famous in Woods’ television commercials
Dale’s visit to Mission Hills comes in support of Mission Hills’ drive to promote golf development in China. In addition to the club’s well-known reputation for hosting elite international tournaments such as OMEGA Mission Hills World Cup, the Mission Hills Star Trophy and the Asian Amateur Championship, Dale’s clinic was designed to show golf can be a sport of great fun for all participants.
“Mission Hills is excited to present the amazing skills of Jeremy Dale to our members and guests,” says Tenniel Chu, Executive Director, Mission Hills Group. “Just as he has done many times before, we are sure he delighted everyone in the audience.
“However, this visit is about more than just Jeremy being in China. We are proud to be at the forefront of golf development in China and this clinic shows what great fun golf is and that it is a game for everyone. Hopefully, we can continue to inspire people to follow this great game with this week’s event,” says Chu.
In addition to his trick-shot expertise, Dale also conducts golf instruction clinics around the world helping golfers to get the best from their game without changing their swing. His clinics have been featured in the London Sunday Times and are aimed at golfers of all abilities who want to improve, but have limited available time.
