SHELTON, CONNECTICUT-Fairway & Greene announced today the cover of its Fall 2011 catalog will feature a painting by renowned golf artist Lee Wybranski, who will also appear at Fairway & Greene’s booth at this month’s PGA Merchandise Show (January 27-29) at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center.
The company will also provide limited edition signed and framed posters of the cover artwork to its key customers and use the reproductions as creative point of purchase branding for their golf shops.
“Lee Wybranski is an incredibly talented artist who has a keen understanding for the subtleties in golf,” says William Draddy, Senior Vice President, Creative Director of Fairway & Greene. “Those subtleties are what make Fairway & Greene so special in the golf apparel market and why Lee is the perfect artist to collaborate with us on a project like this.”
Wybranski-golf’s premier artist-has been commissioned to create paintings for some of the game’s finest clubs and organizations, from Merion Golf Club to the United States
Golf Association.
His art is characterized by a traditional aesthetic inspired by the great landscape painters of the past. In fact, when viewing one of Wybranski’s paintings, it is difficult to know whether the piece is recent or was created 75 years ago because of his attention to the fundamental principles of quality, color and composition. Wybanski’s goal is to create finely crafted paintings that tell a story or capture a specific impression.
“I’m proud and honored that Fairway & Greene has chosen to feature my artwork on the cover of its Fall 2011 catalog and as a poster for the company’s customers’ golf shops,” Wybranski says. “Fairway & Greene epitomizes quality and class in the golf apparel industry, so being associated with the company through my artwork is very special.”
Founded in 1995, Fairway & Greene has rapidly grown to become one of the dominant players in the high-end golf apparel market. Each item is fashioned from the finest pure finish fabrics, long since abandoned by other makers due to rarity and cost, and each hand tailored with a care and quality that is uniquely Fairway & Greene. With an unparalleled emphasis on product quality and customer service, Fairway & Greene is specifically positioned to help PGA Professionals enhance their golf shop merchandise offerings.
