Perala went on to say, “It truly is difficult to compare our technology to the current state of the art in swing analysis and launch monitor products. 3D modeling of the golf swing offers significant advantages over other technologies. Video analysis can provide information on what the swing looks like but isn’t capable of giving the instructor / player information regarding the performance of the swing.
3D analysis measures and analyzes all the technical aspects of the golf swing including wrist, hip and shoulder speeds, swing parameters which can’t be tracked with the naked eye or conventional video cameras. Current market analyzers are capable of providing accurate data on these swing parameters but require vests, sensors, markers and additional devices attached to the golfers body and or golf club in order to produce this data. These additional objects can interfere with the natural tendencies of the golfer and can decrease true accuracy of the require measurement. When one considers that time is money it’s easy to understand that the time to add in these very complex additions to the golfer’s body before analysis begins can be at best costly.”
Perala explained further, “4DSwing will introduce to the attendees at the PGA Show a new category of golf coaching and swing analysis tools: 4D modeling (x,y,z and time) without markers, wires and vests.
