Training aid vastly improves ball striking, distance, concentration and confidence
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – PSP Golf, inventors of “The Little One”, will be featuring their first game improvement golf club designed to improve your ball striking, increase your distance, elevate your concentration and improve your confidence at Demo Day and the PGA Merchandise Show. “The Little One” can be put to the test Jan. 26 during Demo Day and Jan. 27-29 in Booth 1951 at the PGA Show.
“The Little One” is a regulation-sized iron (grip and shaft) with a club head the size of a standard 7-iron’s “sweet spot.” The reduced-size club head is slightly wider and higher than a golf ball so importance is placed on hitting the sweet spot each and every time. This innovative golf training aid provides you with instant feedback on your swing that results in rapid improvement and lower scores.
“Our brain is focused on the task at hand even with a different sized club head,” said Dan Bonomo, President/CEO PSP Golf. “Hitting the ball with the center of the club is a constant priority regardless of the club you have in your hand. By having a more specific (smaller) target our awareness becomes more focused on achieving our goal. Once you are emotionally aware of the simplicity behind ‘The Little One,’ you will have the confidence to hit every shot without fear. The result is more consistent, solid, repetitive shots no matter what club you have in your hand.”
Bonomo came up with the idea for the club after being overly frustrated with his “over the top” swing. He remembered practicing hitting baseballs with a very thin, heavy rod designed to help him “groove” his swing and strike the ball more solidly. In 2000, “The Little One” came to life
A hit on the PGA Tour with several Top 50 players, “The Little One” is sought after because it feels like a regular club when you hold it. The club is a regulation-sized 7-iron (grip and shaft) with a club head the size of a standard 7-iron’s sweet spot. The reduced-size club head is slightly wider and higher than a golf ball so importance is placed on hitting the sweet spot each and every time.
PSP also has a “The Little Wedge” prototype currently being tested on Tour and also is developing “The Wee One,” a training aid club designed specifically for junior golfers.
“The Little One” is available with a regular, stiff, x stiff or lite shaft for $119.95 and is available at www.pspgolf.net.
