LAKE MARY, FL – Cleveland Golf, TaylorMade-adidas Golf and Wilson Golf are among the market-leading golf club manufacturers taking sponsor roles in the International Network of Golf Hospitality Room (ClubING) during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
TaylorMade Golf’s sponsorship includes a Q&A with Natalie Gulbis on Thursday at the ING Media Reception and Happy Hour. The event, co-sponsored by longtime ING sponsor Golfpac Travel, runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. All ING members, all media, and guests are invited.
Among Cleveland Golf’s new offerings is the new women’s line, which includes the Women’s HB™ Irons and the Women’s CG Classic Collection™ Putter. The Women’s HB™ Irons are the latest hybrid irons featuring full-hollow construction throughout the entire set, providing a consistent feel and a seamless transition from long irons to wedge.
New from Wilson Golf are the Di11 distance irons and the Wilson Staff Vizor putter, promoting proper alignment.
The ING Hospitality Room will be open in room 309A throughout the three-day gathering of the golf industry at the Orange County Convention Center. Everyone in the golf industry is invite new offerings d to drop in and see what all of the ING buzz is about.
The non-profit ING is beginning its third decade in the golf industry, and the celebration begins this week at the PGA Show.
ING has been networking the golf industry since 1990. ING’s mission is to enhance and promote communication and education in golf. Media members of all types and sizes comprise approximately 35 percent of the membership. The remaining members are people from every aspect of the golf industry.
Included in a busy ING schedule at the PGA Show will be two awards presentations. The 18th ING Media Awards will be announced at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The 18th Annual ING Industry Honors will recognize achievement in a dozen categories at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
Also slated for ClubING will be two presentations by Jim Koppenhaver of Pellucid. His annual 2010 State of the Industry discussion will take place Friday at 10:30-11:30 a.m. and again at 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Pellucid team will cover the basic metrics in the consumer base, rounds demand, supply absorption, weather impact and revenue for the golf industry, plus more.
Also on tap will be product displays, contests and giveaways. ING will be showcasing its plans for the 21st ING Spring Conference, set for beautiful Innisbrook Resort May 22-26, 2011. Several new elements of the conference will be unveiled, including a new format for educational sessions that will give attendees specific tools to improve their standing in the golf industry.
