Reynolds Plantation hosts 5th annual event at 2011 PGA Merchandise Show
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, January 24, 2011 – Michael Whan, the commissioner of the LPGA, will speak at the fifth annual EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) networking breakfast for female golf industry leaders. Hosted by Reynolds Plantation during the 2011 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, the by-invitation-only breakfast will be on Friday January 28, from 7:30am – 8:30am.
One year since assuming his leadership role as LPGA commissioner in January 2010, Whan will return as guest speaker at the EWGA breakfast. A former executive vice president of TaylorMade Adidas Golf North America and seasoned sports business executive, he quickly captivated the women from the golf industry who attended last year’s breakfast.
“The commissioner was such a hit last year that we wanted to invite him back. I know he will offer a candid perspective on his first year and what the future holds for the LPGA and women’s golf,” says Pam Swensen, CEO of the EWGA. “We thank Reynolds Plantation for hosting our breakfast again this year and making this annual event such an excellent networking opportunity for dozens of women executives involved in all facets of the golf industry.”
The EWGA will be exhibiting at the PGA Merchandise Show in Booth # 4363, highlighting membership and sponsorship opportunities, the EWGA Golf Club Network and the EWGA Fair Way Forward advocacy initiative.
