Quagmire Golf Inks Tour Players To Endorsement Deals

January 26, 2011

(TORONTO) – Quagmire – the Toronto-based apparel brand founded by two buddies with a passion for golf, surf, skate and street culture – announces that it has inked new sponsorship deals with PGA Tour players Tag Ridings and Joe Affrunti, while extending its relationship with Australian Aron Price and Canadian Brennan Webb.

The signings of Ridings, Affrunti and Price strengthen the brand’s PGA Tour presence and provide an awesome forum for millions of golf fans worldwide to see Quagmire’s latest styles, including the new ColorFusion Polos made from crazy fabric that changes color at different temperatures.

“When it comes to Tour players, we’re all about partnering with guys that look great in the clothes and are also fun to have a drink with after a round,” says co-founder Geoff Tait. “Along with all the celebs that rock Quagmire gear on and off the course, having some of the world’s best golfers wear our styles really helps build awareness.”

Two of the game’s longest hitters, Ridings and Affrunti each earned their 2011 PGA Tour cards by finishing among the top-25 on the 2010 Nationwide Tour money list. Ridings carried that hot streak over to the start of the new season, finishing T13 at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

In 2010, Price recorded three top-10s on the PGA Tour, while Webb won three times on developmental tours and Monday-qualified for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

“These guys almost always play from the short grass, but they really align well with our brand’s ‘Not Fit for the Fairway’ motto,” adds co-founder Bobby Pasternak. “It’s all about looking smooth, feeling great and having as much fun as possible.”

Quagmire also recently supported the 2011 Bob Hope Classic for the fourth consecutive year, providing ColorFusion polos to the tournament’s amateur participants, including celebrities like Alice Cooper, Tommy Thayer, Kurt Russell, Dr. J, Marshall Faulk and Grant Fuhr.
