LAS VEGAS, NV – Key Golf, one of the rising stars in golf course maintenance, continues to align itself with high quality products, partners and clients.
The company has announced that it will now be offering products from Tacit Golf, the leading producer of cups and flagsticks in the U.K. Tacit Golf services 60 percent of the courses in the United Kingdom with cups, flagsticks and other key accessories. Included in that 60 percent are all of the courses that have hosted the British Open, such as St. Andrews, Turnberry, Carnoustie, Royal St.Georges, and courses that have hosted the Ryder Cup, including Celtic Manor, Wentworth, and Gleneagles (2014).
That level of quality is reflected in Key’s current client list. Among the courses that outsource their maintenance to Key are Cascata, and Rio Secco Golf Club, two of the highest ranked courses in the southwestern U.S.
Cascata was ranked the No. 1 golf facility in the U.S. by Zagat Surveys in 2009, and is known to consistently offer one of the very best golf experiences in the world. Rio Secco is home to the Butch Harmon School of Golf and host of the nationally televised Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge for three years. Both are located just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer Tacit’s quality products to our clients in this country,” said Mark Doble, CEO at Key. “Tacit’s reputation in the U.K. is unparalleled, and that matches the type of quality we promise to deliver with our maintenance program. It is a very nice fit.”
Tacit’s technology has separated it from its’ competitors in the U.K. in dealing with the jamming of the ferrule/hole cups. The Tacit cup is designed to shed all foreign particles through the window veins in the bottom of the cup and away from the center bore, thus eliminating jamming.
The Tacit flagstick is made from extremely high quality fiberglass resulting in a more rigid, stronger shaft that reacts better in windy conditions. The Tacit flagstick is very substantial and conveys the essence of quality to the touch of those who experience it.
“Our client courses demand the highest quality in everything we provide,” said Doble. “The Tacit products will certainly help us meet that demand.”
The agreement with Tacit is another positive step for Key Golf in its march toward becoming the leader in outsourced golf course maintenance. The current client list is very happy with the effort so far.
“Key Golf has enabled me to improve the condition of Rio Secco and Cascata, while expending considerably less money,’ said Eric Dutt, Vice President of Caesar’s Entertainment Golf. “One cost cutting scenario is that with Key, any renovations to the golf courses are now made in-house by them. In the past I had to contract with an outside company to make any renovations. That company would charge me for materials, labor and tack on their mark-up of 25-50%. With Key I know my fixed costs in advance, and there are no add-ons.”
