HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (February 4, 2011) – Balance-Certified Golf, Inc., released swing robot test results acquired with and without their new patented Structural Shaft Stabilizer Technology. Test methodology and results are available at Balance-Certified Golf’s (BCG’s) website at www.balance-certified.com. The system can be installed into any shaft. In addition, Balance-Certified has teamed up with SK FIBER to design a new shaft to take maximum advantage of Structural Shaft Stabilization Technology. Images of the new “Quantum ST” shaft will be posted on the site as well.

All swing robot tests were conducted back-to-back with consistent wind and temperature conditions. Data was acquired utilizing the exact same club with and without Structural Shaft Stabilizer Technology. Ball impact positions were 0.5 inch towards the toe and 0.5 inch towards heel. As the chart shows, downrange dispersion improved from a width of 35 yards without the Structural Shaft Stabilizer to 14 yards (excluding one flyer data point) with the Structural Shaft Stabilizer yielding a 21 yard reduction in shot dispersion. The 35 yard dispersion without Stabilization is 150% larger than the 14 yard dispersion obtained with BCG’s Stabilization technology. BCG’s Structural Shaft Stabilizer Technology produces significantly straighter golf shots even when off center impacts between the club head and the golf ball occur.

BCG’s President, Jeff Lindner explained, “It was fun to release the data for the first time at the PGA Show last week since many of our fitters were there to check out the results firsthand that our patented technology provides. The most frequently asked question was ‘How does it work?’ In a nutshell, our new Stabilizer structurally improves shaft performance by coupling the lower region of the shaft’s gripping area with the butt end of the shaft to improve bending stability during the downswing. We designed it to stabilize the shaft without impacting the shaft’s original structural properties so that club fitters would not have to change the way they fit shafts from a flex or torque perspective. Our system was specifically designed to stabilize the shaft.”

SK FIBER President Charlie Blume added, “It is good that BCG’s Structural Shaft Stabilizer will be out in the marketplace a few weeks before our new Quantum ST shaft is shipped since customers will be able to check out the performance advantage the technology provides right away. However, we are really going to make a splash when we start shipping the Quantum in March. The Quantum’s proprietary shaft layup was designed specifically for BCG’s new Structural Stabilizer to create unparalleled shot accuracy.”

Balance Certified has been utilizing Strategic Shaft Technologies’ original Iron Byron robot to develop their Structural Shaft Stabilizer. In addition, test results were independently verified utilizing external facilities not operated or controlled by Balance-Certified Golf, Inc or SKFIBER.
