“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” obliterates competition by sweeping shaft counts on PGA Tour
POWAY, Calif. – Benefiting from the patented Micro Laminate Technology™ in Aldila’s NV® shaft, the winner of the Waste Management Open survived a two-hole playoff Monday to post his second win of the season and the fourth victory of his PGA Tour career.
The second place finisher switched to Aldila’s RIP Technology in his Driver and 3 Wood prior to the start of the tournament and experienced one of the best competitions of his career. He finished second, which tied his best finish on the PGA Tour in five years. Taking full advantage of the RIP Technology™ off the tee, he improved his driving distance by an average of 22.7 yards finishing with a 299.3-yard average for the tournament. He also ended tied for 11th in driving accuracy with a 67.9 percentage average.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” swept the shaft count at the Waste Management Open to maintain its status as the #1 shaft on Tour. Aldila won the driver shaft manufacturer count and completely annihilated the competition in the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts by having 67 more wood shafts in play and nearly 3 times the number of hybrids than their closes competitor, according to the Darrell Survey.
This is the 4th consecutive week on the PGA Tour that Aldila has dominated the wood shaft count with at least 20 more wood shafts in play and nearly twice as many hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor.
“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies that continually prove themselves week after week on the PGA Tour,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “The three technologies, Micro Laminate (MLT), Stabilized Core (S-core) and Reverse Interlaminar Placement (RIP) each offer players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing.”
MLT is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel. S-core Technology™ provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. RIP Technology™ transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
Aldila’s patented shaft design technologies provide the perfect balance of applied art and engineering. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
