COLUMBUS, GA, February, 8, 2011 — Roy Nix, Executive Director of the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals (AGCP), the world leader in the advancement of custom clubfitting and clubmaking reports the International club fitter and club maker organization’s new web site is now online and functional at www.agcpforum.com, and that a new multi- tier membership fee schedule with AGCP memberships starting at $50 per year.
Although not fully populated yet, and with much work to be done on the new web site, all of the different elements of the new web site are working. After several weeks of Beta testing by a small group of members we decided to reveal the site to the entire membership and ask them to offer suggestions for improving it; Nix said. The new web site will ultimately replace several other domain names the AGCP has online now, www.agcpgolf.com , www.agcplocator.com , and will also possibly incorporate the AGCP shopping cart at www.agcpshoponline.com . Once the site is completed and all of the articles and information contained at other urls are moved to the new site all AGCP domains will be redirected to the new site at www.agcpforum.com .
The new AGCP web site is the latest version of vBulletin 4.0 publishing Suite. Whether it’s available features, or ease-of-use, vBulletin offers more bang for the buck than any competing community software. The new site offers the ability for the AGCP community to communicate through the vBulletin Forum with both Public and private messaging, the vBulletin Blog where AGCP Master CLUBFITTERS and Sponsors will write articles on custom fitting, and custom clubs, and the CMS section and the main web site that is packed with information about fitting and building golf clubs for golfers, club builders and club fitters. This site is a great source of information for anyone who plays golf, builds clubs or fits clubs. All in all the new AGCP web site is an interactive real time communications network where any golfer, golf professional, club builder, club fitter, vendor or anyone else with an interest in golf clubs can access almost a plethora of information about golf equipment on all levels.
The average golfer can find information about how and why clubs are custom fit, how and why custom building offers a better product and where to find clubfitters and clubbuilders around the world who are qualified to fit and build a better golf club. Anyone who registers can access information about launch monitors and how accurate they are, how to tell if the data you are getting is correct, they can access information about why your clubs may not perform as expected, and discover why as well as how you can make them perform better. Golfers can access information about the physics of golf club design, how heads are designed and why, how golf shafts are designed and why, and how they work together to get top performance if fitted correctly for your golf swing. Golfers can access information about the popular myths about golf clubs and learn the facts. Golfers can access information that tells them how to avoid buying into the myths so they can find the best set of clubs them you and their swing. Golfers, clubmakers and vendors alike can register for the site and post questions on the Forum about their golf equipment. Golfers, clubmakers and vendors alike can register and post or they can join the AGCP and have the AGCP membership Forum opened up to them for more technical discussions with the AGCP membership.
Along with the new web site the AGCP is rolling out new tiered membership fees starting as low as $50 per year. If you are a beginner to club making and club fitting or if you are one of the best in the world at club making and club fitting, or you are retired and simply want to keep up with the industry you love, the AGCP now has a membership level for you. And, even a new membership tier for vendors so they too can participate in the discussions on the Forum and become a part of the AGCP community.
