LAKE MARY, FL – At most conferences where networking is the ultimate goal, attendees are brought together in one room and left on their own to meet and exchange business cards.
The One-On-One Appointment Show at the ING Spring Conference takes it a step further, arranging a series of 15-minute meetings between people who can help each other grow in the golf industry.
The One-On-One Appointment Show will be one of the highlights the 21st Annual ING Spring Conference May 22-26 at the recently renovated Innisbrook Resort in Florida.
Anyone in the golf industry or media is invited to attend (www.inggolf.com).
The non-profit International Network of Golf conducts this annual gathering of golf media and business leaders to exchange information, display product and develop and nurture business relationships. Over 175 people are expected from every walk of the industry and the media.
And nearly everyone at the conference can benefit from participation in the ING One-On-One Appointment Show. It was created to place an emphasis on business relations between the media and golf companies, resorts, destinations and entrepreneurs.
Participating companies set up tabletop displays. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, private meetings will be held every 15 minutes, for four and one-half hours. The exhibitor and the visiting media member share the time, with the goal being to create win-win-win programs for the company, the media and the audience, whether it be advertising, feature stories or special promotions. At the very least, a business relationship is established or nurtured.
It is also a perfect time for writers to gather story material and TV/Radio broadcasters to do interviews.
The ING staff gathers all meeting requests ahead of the conference and makes appropriate matches for the appointments. The entire schedule is determined and published prior to the show to allow for adequate planning time.
The One-On-One Appointment Show is just one element of an action-packed ING schedule. The lineup includes:
1) Food For Thought Breakfast: Workers from various aspects of the golf industry will lead a discussion about the current state and the future direction of the golf industry.
2) The Demo Lab will feature approximately 20 companies displaying their latest equipment and training gear on the practice range and green.
3) The International Pairs World Qualifier. A two-player team that wins this 18-hole net points will represent ING and the USA in the International Pairs World Finals in Scotland in October, an expenses-paid trip. The Durland Cup scramble will also be conducted, along with other golf events.
4) ING University – a series of workshops facilitated by ActionCOACH, one of the nation’s leading business coaching franchises.
5) Education and self-improvement programs galore from utilizing the New Social Media, to marketing, to public relations, publishing, writing and more. There is something for everyone.
Those interested in attending may do so by visiting www.inggolf.com and clicking on Spring Conference. An electronic registration process is available. For more information on ING, call 407-328-0500, ext. 2.
