Prince Course Closes For Renovation
Prince Course at Princeville has closed to complete a renovation project designed to enhance conditions at the course, which has often been rated No. 1 in golf-rich Hawaii by national publications. The Robert Trent Jones II design is planning to reopen this summer.
“We are proud of the Prince’s top ranking over the years, and these enhancements will help us maintain the overall quality of the course and the first-class guest experience,” said Steve Murphy, Director of Golf.
A renovation of the bunkers began in September, and the course closed on January 29 to allow completion of that project along with other planned upgrades over the next few months. During the renovation The Tavern Restaurant by Roy Yamaguchi, which opened last summer, and Prince’s golf shop, both located in the clubhouse, will remain open, as will Makai Golf Club at The St. Regis Princeville Resort.
