HARDYSTON, N.J., Feb. 16, 2011 – True golf enthusiasts appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a competitive round of golf no matter what the weather or season. Crystal Springs Resort is happy to provide the perfect excuse to do just that with its second annual Winter Golf Pentathlon on Saturday, February 26.
Crystal Springs Resort, the Northeast’s premier golf resort destination located in the mountains of northern New Jersey less than 50 miles from Manhattan, annually hosts its own version of the 2011 Winter Olympics featuring five fun and competitive events centered around golf.
The five competitions include:
• Frozen Turkey Challenge on Wild Turkey holes 1, 2 & 18; rental clubs provided
• Closest to the Snowman Contest
• Stymie Putting Contest in the Crystal Springs Country Club
• Two-hole Simulator Tournament
• Cabin Fever Shootout, the final event.
Prizes will be awarded to individual contest winners and the top three overall finishers. The grand prize is a membership to Crystal Springs Resort valued at $4000.
Registration for the Winter Golf Pentathlon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on February 26, with the first competition scheduled to begin at 12:30. Included in the entry fee of $99 for general public (special member pricing at $65 for full members and $80 for Rewards Members), is a hot buffet lunch and an awards ceremony with hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soda. The field is limited to 40 participants.

Overnight accommodations are also available. Those who book a hotel room for Saturday receive a free pass to Mountain Creek for Sunday, February 27.
