Ozark Mountain oasis in Missouri offers eight diverse, complementary options
(BRANSON, MO) – The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB (Branson) today announced that Holiday Hills Resort and Golf Club and Top of the Rock Golf Course have joined the area’s new golf-destination cooperative, formed to provide discerning travelers with values and options.
Top of the Rock is an amenity of iconic Big Cedar Lodge, an upscale, amenity rich resort with attractions and services that range from family friendly to business meetings. The resort and golf course – a 9-hole design currently undergoing renovation – perch gloriously upon scenic Table Rock Lake, where boating and fishing are some of the many popular activities offered.
Known for its player friendliness and relatively subdued elevation changes compared to most other Branson courses, Holiday Hills traverses flat to gently rolling terrain, has four sets of tees, and small- to medium-sized greens that are very undulating and tricky to master. Water comes into play on seven holes at Holiday Hills, which has five par 3s ranging in length from 120 to 195 yards.
With large, mature trees and Lake Taneycomo bordering the scenic course, Holiday Hills does a robust timeshare condo business, regularly filling the 450-plus units. Due to demand, another 400 are currently being constructed.
These two courses join six others in comprising a rising-star golf destination, including the No. 1-rated course in Missouri (which is also an “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” by Golf Digest) and courses designed by or in tribute to PGA TOUR stars. Also highlighted is the great diversity and flavor of Branson’s lodging, entertainment, outdoor adventure, restaurants, theme parks and related attractions.
The award-winning golf courses comprising the golf destination – known collectively under the brand promise “Branson: Discover Golf’s Ozark Mountain Oasis” – are:
