ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 17, 2011) – Golfweek’s Golfest – the nation’s largest outdoor golf lifestyle extravaganza and demo day – is bringing its popular event series back to The Polo Fields at The Villages March 4-5. With a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Moffitt Cancer Center, Golfweek’s Golfest is much more than a typical demo day; it is a unique golf festival that not only allows attendees to try and buy golf’s hottest new equipment, but also features exciting entertainment, including World Golf Hall of Famers Greg Norman and Nancy Lopez.
“We are thrilled to have golf icons Greg Norman and Nancy Lopez join us for our fifth anniversary at The Villages,” said Armand Cimaroli, Golfweek director of events. “I’ve been involved with Golfest since the very first event, and I’m more excited about this year’s lineup than I’ve been about any of the ones we’ve had before.”
Presented by CenturyLink, Golfweek’s Golfest at The Villages will feature the CenturyLink Par 3 Challenge, free 10-minute golf lessons by The Villages Golf Academy Pros, live golf performances on The Villages Health System Main Stage, special on-site pricing on golf clubs and much more.
Golfweek’s Golfest is open to the public and will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. Advance tickets may be purchased at any golf facility at The Villages for $8. Tickets purchased on the day of the event are $10 for adults; children 16 and under are free.
