Director of Golf Stephen Havrilla Heads to South Korea to Assume the General Manager Position at Troon Golf-Managed Alpensia Golf & Country Club; Head Golf Professional Kevin DeDonato to Assume Director of Golf Position at Seaview
GALLOWAY, N.J. – February 23, 2011 – Seaview – A Dolce Resort, a Troon Golf-managed facility and one of the premier resort destinations in the Northeast, today announced that current Director of Golf Stephen Havrilla will be heading to South Korea to serve as General Manager of the Troon Golf-managed Alpensia Golf & Country Club in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, which is currently bidding for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Replacing Havrilla will be Seaview’s Head Golf Professional, Kevin DeDonato, who will assume the Director of Golf position.
Havrilla, a Troon Golf veteran with extensive International golf management experience, spent the last two years as the Director of Golf at Seaview, but will be taking on a new challenge in South Korea’s fast growing golf market. As General Manager of the Alpensia Golf & Country Club, Havrilla will oversee 54 holes of championship golf, and food & beverage services.
In his new role at Seaview, DeDonato will oversee all golf operations for the club, including golf & grounds maintenance, tournaments & outings, and all sales and marketing initiatives. DeDonato has been on the golf team at Seaview since 2004, where he has held a variety of positions including stints as Golf Tournament Coordinator, Golf Shop Supervisor, Assistant Golf Professional and most recently Head Golf Professional.
“While we are very pleased that Stephen Havrilla is taking on the GM position for our new golf operation in South Korea, we are equally excited to announce Kevin DeDonato as Seaview’s new Director of Golf,” said Darrell Morgan, Vice President, Troon Golf. “There is no better candidate to fill this position than Kevin, as he boasts invaluable experience in managing this resort golf facility, having been a member of the golf team for the past five years. Kevin was instrumental in the recent transition of Seaview to a Troon Golf-managed facility and we fully expect that he will continue to drive Seaview’s golf programs and services to new heights.”
Located just minutes from Atlantic City, Seaview’s unique and historical resort setting is home to 36 holes of Championship golf on two of New Jersey’s oldest and most prestigious golf courses.
