Industry-leading firm to enhance member amenity offering with innovative open-air design
(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) – Tom Hoch – a pioneer in revenue-based design and turn-key, interior architecture solutions – has been selected by Tascosa Golf Club, the premier 36-hole golf facility in Amarillo, Texas, for design and build services for its new clubhouse.
The clubhouse will include an expansive open-air living and bistro dining area, fire pit, bar, golf shop, and locker rooms to service the club’s sports facility complex. Through a concurrent design-build process, Tom Hoch craftsmen will create furniture, fixtures and equipment that give the space a rustic feel in concert with its Texas location.
The clubhouse will serve as the architectural anchor for Tascosa Golf Club’s expansive new, family-oriented sports facility, which includes a kid-friendly swimming pool, playground equipment, beach volleyball, youth soccer/playing field, basketball court, putting green, driving range, tennis courts and fitness facility.
“Tascosa will definitely fill a void in creating this new, family-friendly club and outdoor recreation venue,” says Hoch. “The new clubhouse will be an ideal members’ retreat for socializing, dining, hosting private functions or simply enjoying club life in a casual environment. Its open-air area will take outdoor living and entertaining to a new level of appreciation.”
“Tom Hoch’s hospitality design experience made the firm a natural fit for the new clubhouse,” says John Dunn, Tascosa Golf Club’s managing partner. “The new facilities at Tascosa promise to enhance the member experience and cement our status as the best family-oriented club in Texas’ panhandle.”
Tascosa Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses, the La Paloma Course and the Tascosa Course, both of which provide a spectacular combination of scenic beauty and challenging golf. The La Paloma Course is a links style course while the Tascosa Course is a classic parkland style layout.
Other recent U.S. and internationally-based Tom Hoch projects include: The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain (Marana, Arizona); The Members’ Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota (Florida); Farm Links Golf Club (Alabama); Renaissance Golf Club (Massachusetts); TPC Valencia (California); Zavidovo Golf and Lake Resort (Russia); and Tulsa Country Club (Oklahoma); multiple projects with Troon Golf; Apes Hill Club (Barbados); and The Abaco Club (Bahamas).
